The IRB 340 FlexPicker robot is one of three units that will support an advanced package handling solution for Allied Bakeries, which operates a dozen production sites across the U.K.

ABB sold its first robot into the United Kingdom in 1974 and estimates some 14,000 units from all suppliers are in use there today. In cooperation with systems integrators and other partners, the group has provided advanced six-axis robots to a growing range of markets. Worldwide, ABB has the largest installed base of robots, totalling more than 140,000.
